Sehr spannendes Büchlein meines liebsten Kriegsjournalisten (Restrepo, Korengal). Es behandelt eine ganze Reihe von Themen der heutigen Gesellschaft und beleuchtet sie aus anthropologischer Sicht:- PTSD- Krieg- Notsituationen- Verrat am Volk/Stamm- das Gefühl gebraucht zu werden- soziale Isolation und Depression sowie andere.Der Autor springt gerne einmal zwischen den Themen umher, aber das Buch ist immer spannend und beleuchtet einige psychologische und soziologische Phänomene. Als gelernter Kulturanthropologe vergleicht er dabei desöfteren unsere Rolle in der heutigen Gesellschaft mit den Rollen in den Stammesgesellschaften, in denen Menschen den größten Teil ihrer Geschichte lebten.Ab und an hätte ich mir noch ein bisschen mehr Tiefe gewünscht, was bei der Buchlänge leider nicht drin war.Ich kann es nur jedem empfehlen, dieses kleine Buch sowie einige der gelisteten Referenzen zu lesen. Sehr erhellend.

It is a must read for everyone who is interested in society, in the human kind, in conflict and in how one works.
Ein ergreifendes Buch. Meiner Meinung nach eines der wichtigsten Bücher dieses Jahrzehnts. Es sollte Pflichtlektüre in den Oberstufen der Schulen werden.Einen Stern Abzug gibt es dafür, dass man die zahlreichen Referenzen nicht den passenden Textpassagen zuordnen kann. Das ist unnötig und ärgerlich. Der Auto meinte, er hätte es absichtlich so gemacht, weil es ja keine wissenschaftliche Literatur sei.
The book is absolutely fascinating. It is beautifully written, captivating and touching.I really liked Junger from the shows with Joe Rogan and was not dissapointed. The Tribe is a must read for everyone.
