Sorry, cant give more than 3 stars. Even that is with a tummy ache. Right from the start I couldn't help feeling that I've read the story before. Our hero diving down a well in Glastonbury to retrieve what? Then further chases to other secret hideaways in Egypt and the U.S. where our hero finds more clues, again about what? Throughout all this, he can repeatedly avoid being killed by assasins sent by two rival groups of adversaries, while other characters involved in the story get bumped off. The reader has to fight his way through a host of characters in the beginning before anything makes sense. Causes headache and an urge to put the book away, however as you've bought it, you battle on to the end, which is totally unsatisfactory . As well written as one can expect from this author, by far not his best. Dan Brown writes such plots much better. Peter had better stick to material he knows more about such as the police work in his Roy Grace novels.
