Personally, I am a huge fan of the Gilmore Girls and was beyond excited when I heard that there was going to be a reboot of the show on Netflix. At this point in time, it has been over two years that the reboot was released and I only read Lauren's book now.I think this book will only appeal to you if you have at least watched all seasons of the original show. If you have never heard of the Gilmore Girls or you simply didn't like the show - This book is not for you! This book is a fun read for fans of the Gilmore Girls universe as it gives you a glimpse into what it was like to film both, the original and the reboot.In all honesty, it's not a fantastic, amazing book. It probably won't change your life either. But it is entertaining enough for me to recommend it to any fans of the show out there! Also, Lauren is extremly likeable and witty and it really shows in this book.
Ich habe das Buch im Urlaub gelesen und musste immer mal wieder schmunzeln, laut lachen oder mir Sachen markieren, um sie später nochmal zu rekapitulieren. Lauren Graham beschreibt hier nicht nur ihre Zeit während der Dreharbeiten von Gilmore Girls, sondern gibt Einblicke in ihr gesamtes Leben bis zum jetzigen Zeitpunkt. Es ist ein bisschen, als würde man sich mit einer sehr guten Freundin unterhalten, die ihren Blick auf die Dinge vermittelt und den ein oder anderen Tipp weitergibt (z.B. wie man sich motiviert ein ganzes Buch zu schreiben). Mir hat es sehr gut gefallen!
Das Buch war unterhaltsam und bisweilen sogar recht lustig. Wirklich erstaunlich neues erfährt man jetzt nicht über Lauren Graham, am Ende des Buches hat man aber das Gefühl sie schon ein wenig besser zu kennen. Wer seichte aber kurzweilige Literatur sucht, die einen mit einem guten Gefühl zurück lässt, sollte unbedingt zugreifen.
I really enjoyed this book, more than I thought I would. Lauren Graham is such an inspiration, and the book was just fantastic. Can recommend as a good read to any fan of anything she is in :)
Ich habe mir das Buch für den Urlaub bestellt.Es liest sich sehr leicht und man bekommt das Gefühl man wäre auf ein Kaffee Date mit Lauren.Von ihren Anfängen bis zur zweiten Gilmore Girls Auflage erzählt sie ihre Geschichte. Ich fand es klasse.
Wunderbare Lektüre für Fans von Gilmore Girls und von Lauren Graham. Sehr persönliche Autobiografie, geschrieben in einem leicht verständlichen Schreibstil.
The book is smart, funny, heartfelt, down to earth and interesting. Lauren Graham is hilarious and real. I loved her story telling and I felt like being at the GG set.
I love Gilmore Girls and Lauren Graham. It's an entertaining, funny book. Getting a tiny bit boring towards the end. Finished it within a day. Nice light read if you're a fan of the show.
